SCORE is a national nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide.

Erie-SCORE celebrating over 45 years of service to the community is located in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania. It has more than 30 volunteers who provide FREE confidential mentoring to small business and non-profit groups in Erie, Meadville,Venango and Clarion Counties and Northwestern Pennsylvania.

Its members have held positions in almost 50 different local companies and have experience in numerous business and management disciplines.  The volunteers of the chapter participated in over 370 mentoring sessions in 2012 with more than 130 new clients. In 2009, Erie-SCORE was recognized as one of the top 10 chapters in the United States.

SCORE is a resource partner of the Small Business Administration which provides numerous services to small business including guaranteeing loans from local banks.
